Google’s $35 Chromecast stick is an easiest way to enjoy online video and music on your TV. The affordable device can stream Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Google Music, and HBO. It is not the first streaming device in the market. Apple TV and Roku are already there in the market but the alluring price tag on the Chromecast is a differentiating factor.
Chromecast is a 2-inch dongle that’s compact enough for your TV. basically a simple solution which will enable your browser to work on TV. It can either work as a standalone solution streaming data directly or mirroring the device via Chrome tab. This device is mostly for those who have Windows or Android operating systems but do not have many gadgets, however if you are a staunch follower of the iDevices, then we would rather recommend you to go for Apple TV.
For tablets/phones, just download the YouTube app and connect your device with the same network, open the app and press the cast button. And for desktops/Laptops, open the chrome browser and install the Chromecast extension, open YouTube and press the cast button.
Google Chromecast is in its early stages. It needs to allow developers to explore the ecosystem so that more applications can be made available on the store. If you are a regular YouTube, Netflix viewer then we would suggest you should go for it.
